I received an email the other day. It was from a lady named Cherie Leaird in Delaware, she asks: “Paul,
since you study UFOs, do you have a degree in UFOlogy?
My thoughts: What? A degree, this lady ‘blinded me with science’, I feel a Thomas Dolby song coming on..

Now, that this email got me riled up, no I don’t have a degree in UFOlogy. Let me explain.
The UFO phenomenon has been going on since the beginning of mankind. The phenomenon is muddled
with cranks and crackpots, who tarnish the work of true UFOlogists that seek answers to a mystery that has
been with us since the dawn of time. The sensational term ‘flying saucer’ became the more semantically
neutral 'unidentified flying object, or 'UFO'. The study of such reports, the sightings themselves became the
object of a study known now as UFOlogy.
The word has all the appearances of a true science, yet somehow that particular branch of study has not
become accepted as a science. It is difficult to observe, study, analyze and scrutinize UFOlogy, when not
one UFOlogist is in possession of a crashed disc. Perhaps our military is utilizing the science of UFOlogy as
they may be collecting crashed discs throughout the United States and hording them like squirrels in some
underground bunkers at Area 51.
Ufologists regale themselves with anecdotes from UFOlogist icons such as Nick Pope, Nick Redfern, Stanton
Terry Friedman, Jaime Maussen, George Adamski, Art Bell, Philip J. Corso, John Keel, George Knapp, Bob
Lazar, Whitley Streiber and Eric Von Daniken.
Even though the anecdotes sound sanely scientific, it is really scientific?
The answer, unfortunately is nada, no. Even when my amateur UFOlogists did a UFO investigation in
Lincoln, using laser lights and high powered flashlights for signaling, we received no signals back. Some of
my investigators claimed they saw starlike UFOs zip across the sky, but could they have seen meteorites?
With night cams, cameras, telescopes, binoculars on hand, nothing fruitful turned up. UFOlogy is one of the
hardest subjects to tackle, ask any of my investigators that went to Lincoln. We can't even get a full
comprehension of our own universe, from the cosmic and macroscopic to the microscopic and subatomic
scales. Science keeps changing. We hear that the Big Bang kicked started our own universe, but what if
there was a Big Bang before our Big Bang? What if there was a universe before our universe? What if we
reached the edge of our universe and fly past the pulsars to encounter a void and after we get through the
void, we come upon another universe? The theory of the Multiverse would truly come to light. Will we ever
prove this, I doubt it. So, if we can't prove the existence of the Multiverse, how will we ever discover the real
truth about UFOs?
There is a serious roadblock to the acceptance of ufology as a legitimate branch of modern science and you
can see why, there are just too many complications in the study.
The Sumerian Clay tablets tell us we were visited by ancient astronauts and unless the Sumerians were
great science fiction writers or conspired to tell future people of Earth the big lie, you would have to think
that what the Sumerians were writing was the truth as they knew it.
The criticisms keep coming. Ufology allegedly refuses to play by the rules of scientific thought, demanding
instead special exemptions from time-tested procedures of data verification, theory testing, and the burden
of proof. Ufologists assert the existence of some extraordinary stimulus behind a small fraction of the tens of
thousands of UFO reports on file.
It is theorized that the ancient gods will return, some predict on December 21, 2012. If this is true, then
perhaps then and only then, we will know the answer to the mystery of UFOlogy.

Hi Paul,
Here is a link to the album of photos taken at last nights investigation in Lincoln.
The photos didn't show anything remarkable outside. There was so much dust blowing in the breeze causing
lots and lots of orbs that capturing anything definite outside was difficult. While in the living room we were
getting hits on the K2 near the doorway from the sitting room to the hallway leading to the bedrooms. I
caught orbs that seem to hover in the corner above and to the right of the K2. And then, I heard a
paranormal voice say "No" with my ears. The voice was near Kim and she said she heard it too. It was so
distinct that she and I thought someone was listening to their voice recorder. One of the investigators caught
the voice on her recorder and we will have the EVP ready soon.
But my favorite experience of the night was the chat we had down at the pond with Paraphibian! One of the
East Bay Paranormal guys said while investigating the pond area, they saw some kind of creature stick his
head out of the water. They said it was about the size of two fists held together and didn't look like a fish.
While we were at the pond Lisa saw two points of light in the water near the shore. I was able to capture the
two points of light in two photos. As we walked nearer we found a good sized toad in the water with just his
head sticking out, catching and eating insects as they flew by. I was able to take 4 photos of Paraphibian as
we all said Hi, had a short commune, then he dove into the water and was gone.
It was a great investigation as always. See you in a couple of weeks!
