Interview with Shannon McCabe
Interviewed by Bill Compton of True Blood and Edward Cullen of Twilight

Interviewed by Bill Compton of True Blood and Edward Cullen of Twilight

Edward: Shannon, what is your fascination with vampires?

Shannon: Well Edward, I've been really into vampires since "Interview with a Vampire". Anne Rice really got me into
her books and then I saw the movie and it's been a dark and bloody spiral since then. I love the mystique and the
sexual charm of vampires. You both know how to charm the pants off of any woman. Even virgins.

Bill: Shannon, do you want to become a vampire? (said in a southern drawl)

Shannon: Thank you for asking. Are you offering? (Laughs) Bill, I'd love to say yes and go off into the night with you
and Mr. Cullen, but I have a day life that needs me, and I would really miss the sun way too much. Like your
girlfriend, Sookie, I too like to have a tan.

Bill: (Laughs)

Edward: I heard you are a little bit witch can you elaborate on that?

Shannon: Honestly you cannot be a little bit witch, just like you cannot be a little bit vampire, you must be all or
nothing. No, I am not a witch but I do know one named Ms. Macabre. She's very old and has many concoctions that
she whips up in my kitchen when she's in town. I really enjoy being with her. She's got long brown hair and loves
tiaras.

Edward: Tiaras?

Shannon: Yes, she thinks she's the queen of the paranormal, which in her case is the "normal". (Laughs)

Bill: I've got a question for you, Edward. Aren't you related to Barnabas Collins?

Edward: No sir. My last name is Cullen, not Collins. I don't know of any relationship, but I did bump into him when I
went to Maine. Nice guy.

Bill: Ms. McCabe, why do you think vampires are so sexy?

Shannon: Please call me Shannon, no need for formalities in this haunted mansion.

Bill: Sorry it's my Southern upbringing.

Shannon: Not at all. To answer your question, I don't think all vampires are sexy. Just the two of you.

Edward: (With a smug look on his face) Thank you. Count Graf Orlock is probably the ugliest vampire in existence,
he is definitely the exception to the rule of good looking vampires. Do you agree Shannon?

Shannon: He's not just ugly, he's atrocious. His behavior at last year's Vampire Ball was something to write about... I
am really hoping the Volturi show up this year. I've been waiting to meet them.

Bill: So tell us about the Vampire Ball? Will there be some real vampires there?

Shannon: The Vampire Ball is actually this Halloween. (Oct 31st, 2009 & OCT 23RD 2010) It's being held at an
underground bar called Vega's (2009). What's interesting about Vega's is that Richard Trenton Chase aka The
Vampire of Sacramento used to hang out. The club used to be called "Steamboat Navigation" and it was a really
great disco club back in the 70's. My business partner, Paul Dale Roberts, used to go dancing there and informed
me that Richard would try to prey on women there. He was a bit of a wallflower but we all know he blossomed into a
gruesome serial killer. So to answer the question about having "real" vampires there. Yes, Richard is almost always
there in spirit. He's a very malevolent soul and you don't want to be caught there alone at night. We also have our
very own vampire in our paranormal group, H.P.I. Her name is Lady Amphora and she'll be there with Paul and I
hosting the event.

Edward: I heard you are doing something with www.rolda.org and it has a connection to Transylvania & Romania?

Shannon: ROLDA is ROmanian League In Defense of Animals and it's a wonderful charity run by the fabulous, Dana
Costin. What's so cool about the charity is the fact that it's based in Romania. You know, Dracula Country. I will be
holding a charity raffle at the Vampire Ball with a ton of stuff from Romania and some stuff from the US. It's all
vampire related items and I bet that we raise a good amount of money for the street animals of Romania. Please tell
your vampire friends to come and buy raffle tickets to help me out!

Bill: Didn't Dracula interview you once? How did that interview go?

Shannon: Bill he is a wonderfully dirty man, he tied me down for the interview. He did not try to suck my blood or turn
me, he just asked me questions just like the two of you. Please have a look at the interview from 2007, it's an
interesting read.

Edward: Who do you think is hotter? Bill or Me.

Shannon: Edward, I am so surprised that this question came out of you. You usually seem so reserved... I guess I
was wrong. I like this dirty side of you... Well let's play the "Marry, Screw, Kill" game shall we?

Edward, I'd marry you Bill, I'd Screw you And I'd Kill Eric.

Bill: Eric? Really. Sometimes I'd like to kill him too.

Bill: I used to cavort with the Vampire Lestat in New Orleans. Do you know him?

Shannon: I love Lestat, he is such a talented musician. I wanted to rip into his leather in "Queen of the Damned". I
think Charlize Theron get's to rip into him now...

Edward: Shannon, does HPI investigate vampires?

Shannon: We do. Paul and I went into San Francisco a couple of years back and interviewed a few vampires for a
story we were writing. It was interesting, most of them were not Sanguinarians (Blood Drinkers) but more of the
Psychic Vampire type. The ones that suck the energy from you. It was not even half as interesting as the two of you...

Bill: Ms. McCabe, you are very nice looking, if I wasn't Sookie's I'd be obliged to ask you out for a walk.

Shannon: Oh Bill, that Southern gentleman thing again... Sookie is a VERY lucky gal, and you are lucky to have
stolen her back from Sam Merlotte. He's quite the looker too.

Bill: Sam. He's good to Sookie, but she is mine. He's kind of a dog.

Edward: Bill, you were reading my mind. I happen to hear everyone's thought's like Sookie does. If I didn't have an
intimate relationship with Bella Swan, I might consider pursuing my infatuation with Ms. McCabe.

Shannon: Edward, I am honored to have such an incredibly sexy vampire such as you interested in lil' old me.
Believe me, if Bella wasn't so sweet and I wasn't married I'd sweep YOU up into the trees. (Laughs)

Bill: Out of curiosity, what was the latest rock concert you went to and who did you go with? I know you like rock
concerts.

Shannon: Funny question. I've seen Lestat perform many times but my latest was Marcy Playground. I've always
wanted to meet the band and about 5 years ago I was able to. They became great friends and I actually did a little
documentary on them if you'd like to see it? The elusive singer, John Wozniak, also granted me an interview. It was a
highlight in my rock career. And a few weeks ago I was dragged to the Def Leppard concert. I had a great time
actually.

Edward: I heard something about a Demon Warrior in your group. Who in the heck is the Demon Warrior?

Shannon: That's my business partner & General Manager. Paul Dale Roberts. He's the Demon Warrior. Yep, he
fights ALL our demons. Human and inhuman.

Edward: Shannon would you mind if I listened to your thoughts?

Shannon: Sure, by all means... "I wish he'd throw me...

Edward: Shannon?

Shannon: (Laughs) Sorry. I can't help myself. Are you both glamouring me?

Edward: It must be my scent luring you in. (Laughs)

Bill: Shannon, I've been glamouring you since we walked into the room.

Shannon: Well. That's nice, thank you.

Bill: Do you have any True Blood in your icebox, I am starting to get hungry.

Shannon: A- Just like you like. I'll pop some in the microwave for you. Edward, can I get you a Mountain Lion?

Edward: Thank you so much for the interview Shannon. How might our readers contact you in the future?

Shannon: It's my pleasure Edward & Bill... Really. Your readers can contact me through my site
www.ShannonMcCabe.com

Shannon: Will I see you two at the Vampire Ball?

Bill: Definitely.

Edward: Yes, Ms. McCabe you will...
