Interview with Staci Butler – Paranormal Experiencer
Interviewed by Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager
www.hpiparanormal.net / President

Question:  Staci, can you tell me something personal about yourself?  Your family life, schools you went
to, etc.

Answer:   Born in Hemet , CA raised in Webb City , MO.   Moved back to CA 2 yrs ago.  Navy wife for 6
years, divorced and now a Cable Contractor’s wife.  Mother of 3 beautiful children (15 son, daughters 6
,7).  Getting MS in Psychology in 1.5 yrs, and then on to PhD.

Question:  Staci, here is an off-the-wall question, what is your favorite song?

Answer:  In the End by Linkin Park.

Question:  Staci, tell us about the first paranormal experience you ever had.

Answer:  When I was 5 y/o we moved into a new home.  My room was upstairs with my sister.  My
mother had gotten me a small rocking chair from Tijuana which I would put in my closet before I went to
sleep.  I remember talking to the chair quite a lot.  The more I talked to the chair in the closet the more
it would rock back and forth.

Question:  Staci, that is very interesting.  So perhaps, the entity was sitting on the chair.  Did you finally
communicate with the entity and did you see the entity?

Answer:  Yes, I feel the entity that I finally saw was the one in the chair.  We found out later on that
there was an old woman that hung herself in the area of my closet.  We never had any dialogue but I
do remember how she looked.  She was thin and frail, grey hair in a bun and a white night gown with
small blue flowers all over.

Question:  You are an incredible person.  I remember you telling me that you have ancestors that are
Wiccan and I would love for you to tell this story.  Also, what is the story about you and black magic and
how did it affect your life?

Answer:  My Wicca ancestors are on my mother’s side of the family.  They were from Scotland , and the
other things I have been told was that they were good witches and very powerful.

Black magic:  This began when I was 13 y/o.  With all the paranormal experiences I had in our house
(starting at 5), I was interested in speaking with them.  I saved my money for an Ouija board.  I had two
friends Mindy and Cindy that wanted to participate in contacting my ghosts.  Mindy was scared to death
but Cindy helped out.  Our first contact was with a young boy who turned out to be a nice entity and
later Vincent came into the picture and he turned out to be a mean entity.  We started using the Ouija
Board outside and soon moved inside with the Ouija Board, using a 3 inch, never lit, candle on the
window seal.  After about 5 minutes Vincent became mean and started to threaten us, the candle
sparked and by the time we blew it out and hit the lights the candle had already started to burn into the
window seal.  We discovered after months of using the Ouija Board that Vincent’s grave was in the
nearby graveyard.  We actually found the grave of Vincent.  I quit using the Ouija Board and moved on
to, what I thought was plain magic.  Using my sister’s books to do simple spells with chants and
incantations.  About 15 y/o I was able to do things magical if I was very angry.  So the angriest part of
my life was at 20 y/o I had just had my first child, my boyfriend was mentally and physically abusive, and
we had just broken up.  My boyfriend was not willing to see or even help with our child, so although I
had long been into Wicca (good magic) I was beyond any anger I had ever felt before.  For 3 nights I
wished that everything he loved was gone i.e. his car, home, and freedom.  The third night I was going
to sleep, wishing this with all the anger within my being, I closed my eyes and saw nothing but flames.  I
had no idea why, until the next morning, my ex-boyfriend’s father called me to say that my boyfriend
was in jail.  That night a reptile heat rock shorted out, which caused the house that he was living in to
burn down, when he rushed home the cops were there, telling him that his car was going to get
impounded because it had tags that were expired and there was a warrant out for his arrest so he was
going to jail.  All three of my wishes came true and I felt awful.  I apologized to him so many times and
never allowed myself to have that much built up anger.

Question:  Wow!  Sounds like you gave him the mojo, the evil eye…you cursed him.  I know if you exert
enough negative energy on someone, you can actually place a curse on that person.  Your thoughts
on this?   Note:  This is something I don’t mention, but my mother was able to throw a mojo spell.  She
would even say she was throwing a spell and then send it out.  My mother was quite the character.  But
that is another story…let’s get back to Staci’s story…..

Answer:  I wish I could have met your mother; she sounds like a wonderful woman.  I’m not sure if it was
me that caused that chain of events, but it did scare me enough to never put forth that kind of energy
again.

Question:  You made a move in which your home was close to a cemetery.  Is this where the
attachment to an entity took place?   Please elaborate.

Answer:  Yes, the cemetery was right across the street and I would visit it often because it was the only
place that was peaceful.  My son was around 3 when he started talking to his “friends” and he would tell
me that they wouldn’t let him sleep.  I always let him know that they wouldn’t harm him.  He was told to
tell them that he needed his sleep and that they needed to leave him alone, until it was time to get up
and play.  During this time I started to notice a large shadow, about 6’2” with a big frame, I would say it
was a male figure.  He would hover in my room, over my bed, in the doorway, etc.  I thought it was just
the apartment that was haunted, until I realized that when I got married and this shadow entity would
follow me to all of the locations that I have been to during my time as a Navy wife.  He stayed with me
until we moved back to Missouri . Throughout my divorce he became over protective, hovering over my
shoulder constantly.  When my divorce was final and I got together with my present husband, he
seemed to disappear.  I do see him every once in a while when my current husband is away for weeks
at a time, but I feel it’s just to let me know that he is still there, watching and protecting me.

Question:  Well, this shadow entity could have been an angel of some sort.  Very interesting.  Well, I
think this about wraps up the interview.  You definitely have had a very paranormal life.  You mentioned
before this interview that you feel you may be a sensitive.  Why do you think that?

Answer: Truthfully, only because people have told me that I am.  I use my intuition and really have a
knack for putting myself in other people’s shoes.  I guess that’s why I decided to be a psychologist.  If I
feel something, I go with it instead of shutting it off or ignoring it.  If I go on a paranormal investigation I
automatically tune into the surrounding area, if I feel something, then I place my trust in it, if I don’t feel
something then I trust that feeling also.  I don’t try to put feelings where they don’t exist.  Does that
make sense?

Question:  Yes, I completely understand Staci; I want your honest insight on my investigations.  Also,
you were a paranormal investigator for some group.  What was the name of that group and what was
your best investigation?  What was your position with this paranormal group?  I heard you were a case
manager and I also heard you did a blessing of a home, pray tell.

Answer:  Name of the group is Joplin Paranormal Research Society a.k.a. JPRS (pronounced Jeepers).
My position was pre and post interviews and all of the legal paperwork in regard to EVP’s, still shots
and video footage.  I also analyzed the evidence.  I once blessed a home for a young woman and her
children.  They were bothered by a dark, mean, entity.  I used my Wicca background to bless the home
and was told at the post interview that everything was quiet and peaceful.  I moved away and last I
heard they are no longer doing investigations.

Question:  Wow!  I was about to end this interview and you mentioned Wicca.  You were involved in the
Wicca culture?   I keep learning more about you within this interview.  Now tell me how you got involved
with Wicca?

Answer:  I turned to Wicca when I wanted to get out of black magic.  I was a solitary witch, because I am
a solitary person, but always participated in events that the local covens would hold i.e. fund raisers,
get together picnics in the park.

Question:  This ends the interview.  Any words of wisdom for your readers out there?  Also, is there a
way for people to contact you, if they have questions in regard to your interview?

Answer:  Well that is a hard one to answer, words of wisdom, be true to yourself, but remember the
three fold law: Anything that you do, good or bad, will come back to you three fold.  If people would like
to contact me they can email me at
tiger_lilly32@hotmail.com and on Facebook, where you can request
my friendship by using my email address and let me know that you read this interview.
